Isaiah 9:6-7

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Take some time and let the words wash over you and praise God for the glorious night that is about to be upon us.

“Noel” is defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary (2018) as “Christmas.” This holiday season, invite the Christmas season to focus on what God has done! How often do we take the time during the holidays to share what Christmas means to us as Christians? Do we share stories about the crazy shenanigans of the elf who visited our children or the craziness of the Mighty God being born as a newborn baby? Do we share about all the gifts we purchased and/or received or do we share about the gift God gave to the world through His Son? Let Jesus reign! Seek out Jesus, the Wonderful Counselor, on how He can provide you with opportunities (and the words) to share the story of amazing love and a God is reigns over our hearts, but was born in a manger.
