Fearless Living Friday- Hope
Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
This week we chose “Hope Has A Name” by River Valley Worship.
Take some time and let the words wash over you and let hope fill you!
As the season of Christmas has passed and a new year is on the verge of arising, what are you filled with? We are told that God will fill us with joy and peace as we trust in Him, and we can overflow with hope by the Holy Spirit. Close your eyes. Imagine what that looks like. Joy. Peace. Hope overflowing. All that is available to us when we turn to Jesus. He is our hope. Take time today to free yourself from anything that is not joy, peace, or hope and when you become free of those things, you make room for Jesus to pour into you all that He longs to. Are you hopeful about what lays before you? If not, turn to Jesus and ask Him for it. Hope has a name. It is Jesus.

“Noel” is defined by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary (2018) as “Christmas.” This holiday season, invite the Christmas season to focus on what God has done! How often do we take the time during the holidays to share what Christmas means to us as Christians? Do we share stories about the crazy shenanigans of the elf who visited our children or the craziness of the Mighty God being born as a newborn baby? Do we share about all the gifts we purchased and/or received or do we share about the gift God gave to the world through His Son? Let Jesus reign! Seek out Jesus, the Wonderful Counselor, on how He can provide you with opportunities (and the words) to share the story of amazing love and a God is reigns over our hearts, but was born in a manger.

Did you know that Christianity is the only faith where a god save his people by becoming his creation? In Christianity, God wanted us to have an eternity with Him. God knew we could never do enough to obtain that, so Jesus was sent to us, here, on earth! God took on human form to teach us how to live while on earth and to give us an eternal life. What a Glorious Night by Sidewalk Prophets highlights the magnitude of that night when Jesus was born. As we prepare our homes for the holiday season, so too must we fearlessly prepare our hearts. Allow God to fill you full of His grace and truth. Make your focus on Jesus’ birth and that glorious night when He was born as a baby and would one day save the entire human race from an eternity of separation from the glory of God.
