Luke 2:17-20

When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Take some time and let the words wash over you and praise God because Christ the Savior has come!

In the humblest beginnings, our Savior was born. When the shepherds heard about the news, they “spread the word” and “all who heard it were amazed.” Are you so elated by your Savior’s birth that you spread it to those whom you know? Those whom you don’t know? Do you “treasured up all these things” the way Mary did? Do you ponder it in your heart? Take time today and glorify and praise God for the gift He has given you. What is wrapped (or unwrapped at this point) under your tree does not compare to what God has prepared for you. If you have unwrapped the gift of salvation, share it, treasure it, and celebrate it! If you have not unwrapped the gift of salvation, I invite you to. It is one gift that will truly change your life and I guarantee it is something you have never received before.
